Sarova Hotels revamps its rewards programme

Nairobi, August 6, 2015: Leading chain of hotels, Sarova Hotels has revamped its rewards programme to offer more benefits to customers. The Sarova Zawadi card will come in three variants; the Zawadi Ruby, Zawadi Emerald and Zawadi Diamond.

Sarova Hotels Group Marketing & Sales Director Jimi Kariuki said the new cards offer better benefits as compared to competing cards in the market.

“After extensive research and feedback from our customers, we have come up with a loyalty program that accords our clientele, the appreciation they deserve for their continued use of our properties.”

The revamp of the card coincides with the boost the tourism sector has received after the lifting of travel advisories by the British government on the Coastal areas of Mombasa, Watamu, Kilifi and Ukunda, and the resumption of direct flights by German leisure airline Condor and Lufthansa.

The Zawadi Ruby, which is the entry-level card, allows customers to earn points for every Ksh100 spent and also get to enjoy exclusive member options and partner promotions. With the Zawadi Emerald, in addition to earning points, customers also receive 12 vouchers that allows them to enjoy services such as one complimentary night voucher on a room for one or two guests, per member and year; one voucher of a complimentary bottle of house wine when dining in a group of two or more; voucher for 50% discount Massage at the hotel Spa among others.

The premium card, Zawadi Diamond, users on the other hand get 24 vouchers for various benefits that include two vouchers for a complimentary lunch or dinner for two persons; one complimentary voucher for a half kilogram cake when member dines with us on their birthday month; three vouchers for a 15% discount on any booking across Sarova Hotels, among others.

The Zawadi Ruby card will be given to the customers for free. The Zawadi Emerald and Zawadi Diamond will however cost Ksh17,499 and Ksh29,999 annually, respectively.

“Customer satisfaction and retention remains the cornerstone of our overall business strategy. With the Zawadi Cards, we are rewarding our customers for their continued support over the years,” added Mr. Kariuki.

“The Sarova Zawadi users will also enjoy international benefits that include international accommodation discounts, access VIP airport lounges, car rental discounts and flight rebates and discounts.”

The international benefits have been made possible through the partnership with Hotel Stay. The company’s [name and position of the representative] added that Sarova Zawadi members will also get free access to Bidvest Premier Lounges at South African airports for domestic departures and three free Bidvest Premier Lounge visits at South African airports for international departures.
